AMERICAN BASEBALL CAMP (Extra Innings)

8 – 10 JULY 2024

We are happy to be able to present you with a new opportunity to practice baseball. After the first week of the American Baseball Camp, one of our American coaches will remain in Trentino to offer an extended camp experience. 

In American baseball,  they play “Extra Innings” when a game ends in a tie, continuing to play the game until there is a winner.

We are excited to offer “Extra Innings” following this year’s American Baseball camp.  For the first 18 campers to sign up (ages 12-16), Coach Neagle-Big John, is offering 3 more nights of baseball!

In the major leagues, each night, they stop the game just before it is over, to take a break, sing a song, stretch legs and hug or high five their neighbor. This is “The Seventh Inning Stretch”. 

For the 3 additional nights , we will split into two teams, play a game and then coach will lead a brief talk about his faith in Jesus and how faith can change anyone’s life for the better. He calls this moment our  “Seventh Inning Stretch”. 

Coach says it this way “I love my family and baseball more than anything except God.  God has changed everything for me, and having the chance to share what he has done in my life is a home run!”

FOR WHO?

Kids between 12 and 16 years of age(new participants in the 2024 American Baseball Camp or returning participants from the 2023 camp).

WHAT WOULD WE BE DOING?

• Learn more about baseball with "Big John" (professional baseball coach), and immerse yourself in American culture
• Experience the adventure of 3 truly special Extra Innings together with boys and girls of the same age
• Improve/learn english through baseball
• Make new friends and have a lot of fun

The  football field at Calceranica al Lago is easily reachable by car, by bike and by public transport (It is close to the Calceranica station and the bus stop).

Activities include:

• Learning to play Baseball with coach "Big John" (professional baseball coach) from the USA
• Conversations in English
• The use of high quality equipment

VARIOUS

• Registration will remain open till maximum capacity is reached.
• In order to enjoy the camp program and relationships, cell phones will be  turned off during the training sessions.
• During the camp, a contact person will always be reachable by phone in case of special needs or emergencies.
• VIVIT can issue a payment receipt. Since it is not an amateur sports association, the expense is not tax deductible.
